About Me
I’m James, a British photographer with a particular passion for action sports, motorsport and the stories that unfold around them.
Before focusing more seriously on photography, I spent ten years in education, including time as a Head of Design & Technology. I later moved into the world of motorsport, working at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi and helping young people experience the creativity, engineering and excitement behind racing. Both have shaped the way I approach photography: with curiosity, an eye for detail and an instinct for capturing more than just the obvious moment.
I’m also a keen mountain biker, so I understand action sports from both sides of the lens-the anticipation before committing to a line, the concentration behind the movement and the small details that make each rider’s experience unique.
Whether I’m trackside, trailside or exploring somewhere new, I’m drawn to energy, movement and genuine human moments. My aim is to create images that don’t simply document what happened, but make you feel what it was like to be there.
